Unsaid

No one ever knows
How long a life they'll lead
You could die before you're born
And when you're one hundred and nineteen
I can be sudden and unexpected
It can be a long time coming
Every second someone dies
But we don't react
Until it's someone we know
Then we think of all the things
We never got to say
We question why we waited
Then carry on that way
Stop and take that moment
Tell those you love
The things you hold in your heart
Why miss the chance
When you can say it now?
Friends and family
Read my words
And know I love you
I won't leave it unsaid
Everyday I am thankful for you
For making my laugh
For letting me cry
For staying with me
If I should die tomorrow
At least everyone I love
Will know what's in my heart
