A Demon in Angel's Flesh

Unsuspecting blow
I didn't sense its approach
Strike that shatters
My body and soul
Falling to the ground
I lie helpless
This will be the end of us
The vision now at hand

A sword is raised above me
Maybe this will be the end
When a spear slams through his body
He falls dead before me
Like something straight from Tartarus
I see my sword tear through flesh
Not my hand that guides it
A demon in angel's flesh

I plead for her to stop
But the carnage continues
Blood covering the ground
Blood covering her soul
And blood covering the light
I watch in silent horror
Until the pain takes me away
