Our Destiny at an End
© Julie Ruffell
Snow gently falls
A chilling wind
Before us are the crosses
Our destiny at an end
Walking tall I face it
Until they lay me on the cross
My hands and feet are bound
Our destiny at an end
Turning to see my friend
We share a final smile
Our love forever lasting
Our destiny at an end
The pain tears through me
More excruciating than I thought
Raised into the air
Our destiny at an end
Slowly we slip away
Our bodies empty of our souls
Into the brilliant light we travel
Our destiny at an end
