Open Eyes

Opening my eyes
They fall upon her face
A smile forms on my lips
And I look into her light
I see the tears
And I tell her not to cry
We share gentle words
Since the time is drawing near

It hurts so much to move
So I just lay in her protective arms
My eyes have trouble focusing
But they stay upon her face
We do not need to fear
We followed our ways
The truth has set us free
